I strive to create an environment where you feel heard and understood. In order to create this environment, I work collaboratively with you to develop goals, and I maintain the belief that you are the expert on yourself and have the answers within. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, processing trauma, gender and sexuality issues, family dynamics, stress, anger, self-esteem, life transitions/adjustment, substance use, and maladaptive behaviors. Whether you want to focus on the past, present, or future, I am willing to meet you where you are so that you can reach your goals.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Clients often come in with anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, family changes, behavior problems, emotional regulation concerns, and more. I use therapeutic interventions from a variety of approaches including Play Therapy, trauma informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (t-CBT), and Strengths-based Perspective.

I understand starting therapy can be overwhelming, and I am here when you are ready to begin. I am a traditional and Christian faith-based clinician that utilizes brief solution focus therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered, motivational interviewing, bibliotherapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, and strength-based modalities. I offer online and in-person counseling services for children, adolescents, at-risk youth, adults, and families, experiencing anxiety and stress related disorders, PTSD, DV and IPV trauma, emotional regulation disorders, adjustment disorders, and family/parent-child adjustments.

Affiliates in Behavioral Health, LLC is an independent, multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse behavioral health care practice providing evaluation and treatment of emotional, behavioral and psychiatric problems. We firmly believe in providing coordinated care where specially trained therapists and medical doctors work together, within the same office, to help patients feel better as quickly as possible. Our experienced and licensed clinicians provide quality services to children, teens, adults and seniors for a wide variety of problems including relationship and family issues, depression, anxiety, fear, loss/grief, anger, mood swings, eating disorders, chemical dependency, and difficulties in school or at work.

Note: I am only doing couples/marriage/premarital counseling at this time. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, my perspective of the human condition and experience is derived from thinking about the context of relationships. Very few, if any, "problems" are a solitary experience; it is often experienced with others in our lives. We are relational beings, and who we are has been influenced by the relationships we have with others. Relationships can hurt, but relationships can also heal.
