Therapy is a working relationship, between therapist and client, to help you meet your individualized needs. I will be a good fit if your goals are to improve coping skills, better understand yourself, maintain healthy friendships, improve self-esteem, and manage everyday stress caused by work, school, or social environments. I have a personal understanding of how the effects of Autism and ADHD can affect mental health symptoms, like Depression and Anxiety. That said, there are many things to celebrate about being neurodivergent, which is why therapy can involve "unmasking" or finding ways to be your true self.
I practice neurodivergent affirming therapy. Instead of focusing therapy on how to make individuals more "normal", I work with you to recognize your needs, plan for success, and treat the mental health diagnoses that often come alongside neurodevelopmental diagnoses such as Autism and ADHD. I work with teens and adults ages 12 and up.
