Our desire is not always clear and can paralyze us. This can create discomfort or suffering that we don't really understand or can't make sense of. Our jobs, friends, families and relationships can suffer because of this. I work with adults, adolescents, and children experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, panic, overwhelming feelings or moods, and obsessional compulsions amongst others. I also work with people going through changes or periods of questioning in their identity and sexuality.
My approach is psychodynamic, which means that I listen for ways in which the unconscious speaks. I believe that empathy, openness, and the intimacy of speaking can work to shift the stories we tell ourselves and open up new possibilities. I also help children through play therapy, while staying attentive to the needs of both the child and the parent.
My goal is to provide a space of exploration and healing, welcoming to all backgrounds, creeds, and identities.
