I believe that everyone has a story and that sometimes events happen during the course of our lives that cause us to be in situations that we do not know how to overcome. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space in which clients are encouraged and welcomed to share their story with me in order to learn more about themselves and how they want to proceed into their next chapter. Everyone deserves to feel seen and have their story heard, and therapy is a unique and helpful space for this to take place.
As a clinician, I have experience working with teens, college students, adults, and families who are experiencing difficulties that include anxiety, depression, life transitions, and emotion and behavior regulation. I utilize an eclectic approach rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and also consists of Cognitive Behavioral and Narrative Therapy.
Every person is unique and has their own story, so it is my goal to tailor my treatment approach to each client that I work with. Therefore, I strive to make therapy a collaborative process in which clients feel safe and empowered to ask questions and make suggestions in order to take ownership of their growth.
