Appointments available in 3-4 weeks. I find that my best work is in helping individuals learn real life, applicable skills to utilize on a daily basis. I incorporate humor in my sessions, but also ensure positive progress toward your goals. I'm passionate about helping individuals to understand themselves better. I don't want therapy to feel stuffy or robotic and I hope you come as your authentic self. I help with managing anxiety, life transitions, LGBTQ+ concerns, and trauma, including those with religious trauma and those working on deconstruction of their faith beliefs.
I work with my clients to utilize strengths they have in order to manage emotions and the everyday stresses of life, while learning new, lifelong skills to take with them for future needs. I value time at the beginning of therapy to focus on building strong practical skills before we dive in to processing and finding the root cause of your concerns.
I very much value the importance of the human experience and its role in therapy. I do also believe in utilizing evidenced based interventions to help support each individual's process of being in therapy such as EMDR, CPT, CBT, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about treatment options!
