Relationships are opportunities for growth and exploration and yet can be the sources of some of our most painful hurts and losses. Therapy itself is a relationship and I provide space for clients to understand past experiences and restore their capacity to build connection and enjoy pleasure. Working with both individuals and partnerships, I help clients deepen and organize their emotional experience to understand relationship patterns and foster authenticity. I have a fierce commitment to my client’s wellbeing and bring deep humility and nonjudgement to this work.
With previous experience in LGBTQ healthcare, I have a special appreciation for the intersections of marginalized identities with chronic and/or stigmatized health concerns. I frequently work with queer and trans people and am kink and sex work affirming.
In couples/relationship therapy, I help partners navigate nonmonogamy, explore sex and intimacy, and hold space for difficult conversations. Therapy is hard work but can be joyful and pleasurable. I appreciate the opportunity to work together.
