I have worked with a wide variety of clients over the years from adolescents who are experiencing suicidal ideation and crisis, to caregivers who are grieving terminal illness and geriatric patients who are struggling with changes in their health and independence. My goal is to make sure my clients are heard and that they can express themselves openly with no judgement.
I have experience in outpatient, inpatient settings and in community settings. I am trained in EMDR and use it to process trauma and reduce negative cognitions. I also have experience using techniques from CBT, ACT and person focused therapy. I try to use several approaches that fit personal needs.
My goal for every client is to walk with them on their journey and help them feel validated and heard without judgment. Sometimes a different perspective can make all the difference and sometimes it helps clients just knowing someone is with them. My promise is to be respectful, empowering, and educated on issues to ensure the best results.
