I take joy working with people who are experiencing stress, generalized anxiety, hopelessness, crisis of faith, issues of forgiveness, troubling life transitions, or grief. I am a good fit for clients who desire to understand how their emotional health and Christian faith interact. I am also ideal for clients who seek a protected space to express challenges relating to Christianity & emotional health (ie. “church hurt,” ministry burnout, existential questions). I am not the best fit for clients who are seeking a clinical diagnosis or intervention.
With a Maters of Divinity, I am specially trained to counsel as a pastor. This means I am equipped to help you process your life circumstances while also providing hope from the Christian worldview. Together we will understand your story, develop coping strategies unique to your needs, and develop a scope of spiritual & emotional formation.
I understand how scary it can be to open up to a stranger. Therefore, my primary goal is to build trust. It is not my desire to force belief or behavior, but to foster a compassionate, protected, non-judgmental and informed space that helps you cope with this messy life. If you desire to reconcile who God is and who you are, I may be a right fit for you.
