I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and dance/movement therapist with 16 years of experience as an expressive and creative mental health professional. My clinical experience spans various treatment settings, including outpatient therapy, Treatment Foster Care, and residential treatment. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing symptoms related to attachment, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
My clinical approach is solution-focused and person-centered, utilizing positive psychology and cognitive behavioral techniques. As a movement therapist, I also draw from a mind-body perspective, recognizing the inner relationship between the physical body and our thoughts and emotions.
I believe that healing requires us to "move through" challenging barriers with open awareness and self-compassion, which leads to a deeper understanding of oneself. This process ultimately fosters more meaningful relationships and a greater connection to both self and others.
