If you are experiencing disordered eating, anxiety, depression, or problems related to your substance use, then you may have difficulty seeing a way out. If you have tried to make changes on your own without success, then you are not alone. Many people need therapeutic support to try new coping skills, improve quality of life, achieve a better balance, or sustain long term recovery. For you, asking for help could represent a significant step toward living a better life. If you are willing to take this step, please know that I will do my best to provide a safe, open, accepting and validating space in which you could heal and grow.
My primary focus will be on building a strong working relationship with you to help clarify and meet your needs. With your goals in mind, we will collaboratively and flexibly integrate a range of therapeutic interventions, drawing from humanistic, dialectical behavioral, psychodynamic, experiential, emotion-focused, and relational/interpersonal orientations.
I tend to be compassionate and direct, goal-oriented and patient, relatable and professional - balancing research-based interventions with an organic, creative approach while using humor whenever possible. I have found that a brief phone call or videoconference is the best way to assess fit. Feel free to reach out if you may be interested in working with me.
