I conceptualize people and their relationships from an object-relations, attachment-based, and trauma-informed perspective, since that makes the most intuitive sense for me. I understand that a disrupted childhood can disproportionately impact someone’s entire life, but I am absolutely certain that people are not defined by their experiences. I work well with people who experienced trauma or hardship early in life, and now find themselves struggling to maintain healthy relationships, asking existential questions, and feeling generally lost or stuck.
I have almost 20 years of experience providing mental health services, both in the nonprofit sector and private practice. I have the most clinical experience and specialized training in childhood trauma and attachment, suicidality and self-harm, and mindfulness. I am certified in several evidence based practices, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I have an advanced understanding of relationships and attachment theory, and I know how profoundly a disrupted childhood can impact someone’s entire life.
