My therapy approach is client centered focusing on choice, strengths and exploration. I am committed to helping children work through issues such as anxiety, transitions, emotional regulation, peer relationships, family conflict and self-esteem. I work primarily with children and adolescents using play, art, sand tray and expressive art therapy interventions. I work closely with families who wish to strengthen their child/parent relationship to help better understand the dynamics that make up a family system. I also work with adoptees and LGBTQ+ youth who struggle with identity issues and help them learn more about who they are.
As a former early childhood educator, I have learned that play is an integral part of healthy development. Through this natural language, I provide them with a safe space to explore their emotions and feelings. My nurturing personality helps them to become confident and comfortable with themselves.
Understanding and compassion are at the heart of my practice. I am here to support your child's emotional well-being and development as well as strengthen your bond. Together, we can create a safe and nurturing environment where your child can thrive, heal and discover their inner strengths.
