I specialize in working with children who may be experiencing anxiety and depression and require assistance in coping with their feelings. Empowering children by providing therapeutic support enables them to gain confidence, manage their feelings and to make positivebehavioral/and or life choices. I believe this is important for them to build and and maintain healthy relationships. Much of my experience is comprised of working with children in the foster care system. This has provided me with a crucial perspective of a child’s need for stability, consistent attachments and bonds, and a nurturing environment.
My professional path has also led me to gain experience and knowledge in providing assistance to individuals with mental health challenges. Through evaluation and assessment, a treatment plan is formed. It is important that they are provided counseling support and treatment and are empowered to navigate systems to meet their basic needs as independently.
