Are you concerned with aging? Or feeling overburdened by your caregiving responsibilities? There is a growing need for healthcare specific to the aging process. Yet in our current system, many older adults and their families are left with more questions than answers. Patients fear memory changes may be dementia. Caregivers feel isolated and overburdened. Unfortunately, many doctors do not have the time or resources to offer support for existential issues outside of their medical practice. As a result, individuals often become depressed or hopeless.
I offer counseling and support for older adults and their families. My approach focuses on building resiliency and improving quality-of-life during all phases of life. I also offer dementia screenings to evaluate the severity of cognitive changes in older adults and, if needed, make recommendations for more extensive assessments and future care.
With a background in trauma therapy, I know how to support patients and families through the toughest of times. As a board-certified Clinical Neuropsychologist, I also have the expertise to identify cognitive changes associated with the aging process. While there may be no cure for dementia, I help individuals find answers and peace.
