I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with people whose physical health conditions impact their mood, sleep, daily activities, relationships, and overall quality of life. I have extensive experience working with individuals living with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, or sleep disorders, as well as military veterans and trauma survivors. My ideal client is someone struggling in their experience of chronic physical illness and/or trauma survivorship who is looking for support and skills to help them live a more fulfilling life.
As a trauma-informed health psychologist, I appreciate the connection between past experiences of trauma and invalidation and one's mental and physical health outcomes later in life. I use evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET) for chronic pain.
I consider the “whole client” and your life experiences at each step of the therapeutic relationship, allowing space for collaborative decision-making about treatment goals and frequent check-ins about your progress in therapy.
