We’re wired toward a sense of belonging and connection to ourselves and others, but we all have strategies to protect us and adapt to life's challenges. Sometimes these inadvertently impact our mental/emotional health and get in the way of the flow of life, leaving us feeling confused, stuck, or disconnected. Other times, those strategies feel suddenly inadequate in the face of circumstances outside of our control. Giving space to layered, complex thoughts, emotions, and experiences and experimenting with new ways of being with a compassionate, well-trained therapist can support you in navigating a life that feels more like yours.
I offer a variety of tools and modalities to suit unique goals and needs, but my primary modality is relational-cultural therapy. Processing your experiences with an attuned listener so you can notice and experiment with how you show up with yourself and others can be healing and effective. I also apply a trauma-informed, attachment/neurobiology-based lens.
My style has been described as warm, mindful, and down-to-earth, but at the heart of what I do is being human in the room with you so you feel safe to see and process all of the parts of yourself and your world. My hope is that I can support you as you expand your capacity to feel more like your authentic self more often in your life and relationships.
