Erica is a therapist's therapist. I work with the elements of nature to reveal the sources of discomfort, disharmony, and dis-ease that are often the source of pain, suffering, and trauma within a person, family, or ancestral lineage. I believe that a holistic approach is vital to true wellbeing and that healing occurs on multiple levels- emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual. In addition to clinical experience, I lived in West Africa and after returning I apprenticed with Dagara Elder, Malidoma Somé.
I use creative, empowering methods to evoke client-centered transformation that provide individuals, couples, and families with tools to take away with and use over their lifetime. Some of the methods I use are: somatic emobodiment, focusing, re-wilding, eco/wilderness, earth and nature-based, mindfulness, Indigenous African Spirit Technologies, and ritual.
Inside the rich and wild realm of nature we rediscover who we really are. In nature where the influences of others are stripped away, we can sense ourselves again. We can listen to the wisdom of our own knowing. What is revealed leads us toward healing. Through my work, I awaken individuals and communities to their true spirit, purpose, and gifts.
