If you are here, you might find yourself experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or relational concerns. You might be a parent of a child or teen who is struggling. Maybe you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community. All are welcome! As a therapist, I check my ego at the door to bring curiosity and humor to the environment to help you grow. I am a gender, sexuality, and neurodivergent affirmative therapist. I hold an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. I am supervised by Jody Goldie, LMFT as I head towards a license in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Registered Play Therapist credential.
Some people can feel stuck in talk therapy. Play therapy is beneficial for kids, teens, AND adults! I help inspire healing through the therapeutic powers of play. I employ art, sand tray, and storytelling techniques to help process emotions, events, build coping skills, and foster resilience.
When working LGBTQ+ clients I utilize narrative, attachment, and collaborative therapy approaches to build internal resourcing on existing strengths. Too often, queer and trans people are told that something about them is “unlovable” or “too much”. My work is to change that narrative to something empowering and honoring of your right to exist and thrive.
