EMS of Virginia provides community based services for adults, children, and families struggling with mental health issues. While in services, you will benefit from positive experiences designed to enhance personal understanding of your role in relationships, assistance in the development of adaptive responses to stress, increase your ability to successfully complete activities of daily living, and thus stabilize to improve your quality of life.
EMS provides Mental Health Skill Building and Intensive In-Home Services. Adults in MHSS will learn skills surrounding stable housing, relationships, employment, budgeting, medication management, and skills to access transportation and community resources and coping skills. Children and families receiving IIH will work on stabilization in the home setting.
We are a community based program that brings the service to you! The best aspect of our service is that it is completely individualized, and will be tailored to build on your strengths and help you achieve the goals that are important to you.
