Helping your child or teen navigate their emotions and behaviors can be a big challenge. It can lead to everyone feeling frustrated with each other and unsure of how to continue. As an adult, life will feel like a rollercoaster and you are not sure what to expect or how to prepare for it. My mission is to help adults explore their past and present to help their future. I provide early intervention to children and teens to help them be successful in managing their behaviors and emotions. I also support you, the guardian, with tools to help them be successful.
My counseling approaches involve person-centered, cognitive behavioral, play, and motivational interviewing. I see this as a collaborative approach where you are the author and I help support you along the way. I help you process your thoughts and feelings while providing a safe and trusting space.
While therapy can initially feel scary, I do my best to make you feel comfortable and heard throughout our sessions. Trust is key in the sessions and what I continue to build with you. I help you to not give up and to continue forward and soon the changes will stick.
