I provide individual counseling and psychotherapy for adults and young adults from all walks of life. My approach is informed by modern psychoanalysis which tells us emotional and behavioral challenges often stem from wounds in our past, and they manifest in our lives through distressing symptoms and patterns of painful experience. When left unattended, these patterns will continue to surface again and again until we bring awareness to them.
Narratives that were instilled in us as children are often accepted as reality without question, but now they may be counterproductive, harmful, and can interfere with a healthy adult life. Putting thoughts to words in a safe space allows these messages to come to surface where they can be metabolized and rewritten.
