Emma is a therapist who believes each client has a completely unique set of needs. Therefore, their treatment plan should be a collaborative effort, specifically and uniquely geared towards meeting each client’s needs while also reaching their goals. She aims to provide a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment where her clients feel comfortable opening up. As a firm believer in the healing power of laughter, Emma often incorporates humor as a tool for connection and healing.
Through the use of theories such as Solution Focused, Narrative, and Family Systems Therapy to ensure she meets each of her clients exactly where they are. With children, Emma utilizes play therapy to build a trusting relationship that helps them process through difficult events and emotions, become aware and express their feelings, and develop resilience.
Her specialties include, but are not limited to: kids (7+), teens, and young adults with concerns of grief and loss, self-esteem, life transitions (divorce, changing schools, new job, etc.), anxiety, and adoption.
