I am a licensed associate counselor (LAC), with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Inspired by my own experiences with anxiety, depression, and therapy, I am dedicated to helping others acquire the tools they need for self-empowerment. With extensive experience in the outpatient mental health field, I have worked with diverse populations in individual, group, and educational settings. I have supported clients from various backgrounds and socioeconomic levels, including mandated populations, and victims of crime.
My primary goal is to assist clients in developing and applying strategies to navigate life's challenges, regain control, and achieve a deeper understanding of themselves. I employ many therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
Coming from a large military family, I have moved frequently throughout my life. My family settled in Arizona after my dad retired when I was 15. In my leisure time, I enjoy playing video games, engaging in crafts, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with my family and Logan, a golden retriever service dog. Logan often accompanies me in sessions.
