I specialize in the treatment of adolescents, emerging adults, and parents who need help addressing anxiety, mood disorders, perfectionism, relationship issues, trauma, self-esteem, ADHD, and life transitions. As a former high school teacher and athletic coach, I understand the complex roles and pressure that my clients must navigate in order to succeed. I have parent-coaching experience. I believe that a strong relationship and authentic connection is the key to a successful therapeutic process. Together with my clients, I create a safe, non-judgmental space that is rooted in honesty, transparency, mutual respect, and trust.
As a parent of young children myself, I am passionate about maternal mental health and helping parents battle the guilt and stress associated with trying to take care of themselves and achieve balance. I am completing training in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and am passionate about working with new moms and women during the postpartum period.
I received my MA in Social Work from the University of Chicago and completed my clinical rotation at Compass Health Center. I use a psychodynamic and client-centered approach, and I am trained in CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Prior to my clinical training, I was a high school teacher and coach for over a decade.
