Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Graduate degree from the joint Clinical Social Work program of NC Agricultural & Technical University and University of North Carolina Greensboro. Emily was raised in New England where she completed her undergraduate degree in child development and early education. Emily transitioned from a teaching profession to a graduate level Social Work study in 2013. Emily joins the CBT Counseling Centers of Greensboro with over eight years of experience working with individuals of all ages and across one’s lifespan.
Emily has experience working with individuals who are enduring symptoms of acute and chronic anxiety, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, perfectionism, behavioral noncompliance, interpersonal challenges, life transitions, impulsive behaviors, anger reactivity, and attachment complications.
Emily successfully implement’s evidenced based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy techniques (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skill building, motivational interviewing, solution focused strategies and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to meet the individual needs of client’s and help client’s meet outcomes.
