Life invariably presents us with challenges that can overwhelm our capacity to cope. The ending of a relationship, becoming a parent, beginning a demanding job, or relocating to a new city can swamp our ability to successfully navigate changes in our lives. It is during these times that you may find yourself in familiar, yet unproductive patterns or recognize that past solutions are no longer helpful. Psychotherapy provides a new lens through which difficulties can be explored and addressed. This is often accompanied by a deeper understanding of how the past influences present patterns and a greater ability to experience emotions.
I provide longer-term individual psychotherapy (English/Spanish) to adults from diverse backgrounds and specialize in issues related to relationships, pregnancy/post-partum life, work/academic stress, and cross-cultural adjustment.
Also trained as a neuropsychologist, I offer neuropsychological evaluations (English/Spanish) to college/graduate students and adults seeking clarification of ADHD, learning disabilities, memory concerns, and other cognitive difficulties.
