Welcome. My name is Emily Darlington, LISW-S, and I am a licensed clinician with a history of fourteen years in psychotherapy and mental health treatment. Through my years of practice, I have been fortunate enough to be a part of many people’s journeys at different ages and stages of their lives. I specialize in EMDR treatment, treating those impacted by traumatic events, including preverbal trauma, grief and loss, and complex trauma. I also practice other evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe in meeting my patients where they are and reminding them of their strengths and opportunities.
I pride myself on being realistic, open, and accepting in treatment with hopes of bringing comfort and validation to the human experience. I am only accepting adult patients, 18 years of age and older, at this time. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches in my practice depending on each individual patient.
I practice through a trauma-informed lens, with consideration of your emotional safety above all else. In good therapy, you will experience discomfort with growth but will remain safe in treatment. I also focus on the humanistic approach, encouraging self-actualization and personal growth.
