Being a tween, teen, or young adult can be hard. Things can feel off and you're not sure why. Maybe noticing your teen pulling away, shut behind a closed door. Your child changing, giving one word answers when they are usually a chatterbox. You may feel that everything is getting on your nerves, that life is too much, or like things are in a funk. You know that something is wrong, but are stuck on how to fix it. Feeling stuck can lead us to seek help for re-connection to our inner strengths. You can find your strengths again and use them to feel better. Sometimes we just need some help reconnecting with what makes us sparkle.
I help young people feel better and connect. I support kids, teens, and adults in transition with managing stress, coping with trauma, increasing self-confidence, and strengthening relationships. I use a collaborative client-focused approach that adds creative and expressive arts techniques, including Sand Tray, EMDR, and narrative practices when useful.
In our work together we will explore many of the things that may be holding you or your child back. A therapeutic space can be helpful to take a breath and start the work of finding healing and wholeness. Your story is worth telling. I invite you to schedule a consultation if my style feels like a good fit for you or your child. Now offering EMDR therapy.

Clients can expect to feel heard, seen, and empowered after sessions with me. During our first few sessions, we will dive deep into what brings you to therapy, and then create a plan for addressing things in a way that helps you get your life back. I also use expressive arts, metaphor, and play therapy to help move past stuck-ness.

I often use expressive arts tools and EMDR in addition to traditional talk therapy. This can look like an art drawing process, a guided visual journaling activity, a narrative prompt, or a Sandtray session. Using creative approaches can be especially helpful with young children, teens unsure about the talk therapy process, and those working through trauma that can be difficult to put into words.
