Understanding the world around you can be challenging, especially when faced with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, or general life stress. Children, teens, and young adults may have even more of a challenge if they are still learning about themselves or have experienced stressors beyond their control. Learning skills to overcome these stressors or wanting to create a deeper understanding of the self are two reasons young adults or parents (of children in need) may seek out therapy.
I work with children, teens, and adults to develop the tools needed to manage stress, communicate efficiently, develop self-care, and process negative thoughts about the self, family, or surrounding world. I have training in Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
As part of Chenal Family Therapy PLC, I consult with our team of therapists and psychiatrists who specialize in different issues, ensuring that all possible treatment approaches are considered. If we encounter problems outside my areas of expertise, I can provide seamless referrals, including testing and medication management, to get you the needed help.
