I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (NY) that completed their graduate experience at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work. I am certified in TF-CBT and LIFT (LGBTQ+ Institute for Family Therapy) Certified. At Extending Roots, I utilize a fusion of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Creative Arts, and a Mindfulness approach to assist my clients with addressing their life challenges as they arise and to assist with with processing complex trauma. I am passionate about providing holistic and spiritual care to our clients.
I use psychodynamic and psychoanalytic interventions where we discuss current challenges, attachment, identity, and your personal history. Therapy is a process that takes time and I am dedicated to working with you through struggles like complex trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and chronic illness.
A new client would be working with me to identify “roots” - core problems/objectives that are deeply connected to one’s actions, thoughts, and emotional awareness. By identifying “root issues” we are able to explore, identify, and address your objectives in treatment. I have a primary focus to clients who are identifying as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+.
