If you struggle with anxiety or depression, it's likely that you readily engage in self-criticism, ruminate often, and avoid activities you want to enjoy. I provide therapy that combines a warm, accepting style with therapeutic expertise. I am certified in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and integrate other approaches to match my client's needs. I will use my skills to help you change self-defeating thinking and behavior, manage difficult emotions, and deal more effectively with the obstacles that keep you from being your best self. I'll work with you to develop a personalized plan for therapy and map out positive steps forward.
I have helped individuals with a wide range of problems, including chronic depression, anxiety conditions, relationship difficulties, history of trauma/loss, and the difficult feeling of "overwhelm" life can bring. I use evidence-based methods, such as CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), interpersonal therapy, and compassion-focused therapy.
As a therapist, I have seen how compassion and courage are among my clients’ greatest strengths for dealing with life difficulties. My aim is to help promote those qualities in them so they can develop the will and the skills for change.
