Empowerment Workshops
Does your child have trouble in the area of being a leader? Does your child struggle to make friends? The workshop facilitator leads kids through exercises to learn the skills needed to deal with whatever social challenge they’re facing. Most of these meetings include a chance for kids to address concerns, learn coping skills, role-play, practice social skills — and to get feedback on how they’re doing. I facilitate both adult, couples, and adolescents groups. I offer workshops, case management services not limited to IEP support, transitional living, and other resource linkage. Please call for group information. One of the most important words a person can hear is me too. Knowing that you are not alone speaks volumes. There are many people in the world who have experienced the same as you, and been down similar paths. Let journey down this path together. Sharing thoughts and feelings in a setting of peers can be helpful in your journey of healing.

Adult Anxiety Workshop Series
CBT 6 workshops for Anxiety and Depression, participants learn strategies and techniques to cope with negative thoughts, worries, and rumination. The goal of the workshops is to help individuals become aware of their thought patterns and behaviours. In each workshop participants learn specific skills to help themselves feel better, cope with, and manage their difficulties and decrease the risk of future relapse. Through this short-term treatment approach, participants are supported and encouraged by the facilitator and peers. Workshops are 90 minutes, light snacks provided. Days and time TBA.
