I became a therapist through working with divorcing families and children of divorce. Divorce is a hard transition for children and parents. A therapist can help with the sadness, discomfort, and difference in challenging times.
Sometimes words just can not be found to express what is being felt. I use play therapy and art therapy to help with communication and expression through metaphor. I also use CBT, EMDR, Solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing.
Starting therapy can be very uncomfortable, I will work with you respectfully and at your speed. Therapy offers the hope of being understood, of understanding better what is going on, and possible improvement of well-being. Give it a chance-!
