Welcome to Southlight Counseling! We specialize in working with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and difficult life stressors. Utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as the cornerstone of our practice, we engage a variety of treatment modalities to help our clients not only understand and address their difficulties, but also set and achieve goals.
ACT is a novel therapy that focuses on examining our difficult thoughts and feelings in a way that accepts them as part of our natural brain's functioning. This allows us to "stop the struggle" and finally live our values. In doing so, we can address our anxiety and depressive symptoms while also creating the lives we are truly meant to be living.
