I am a trauma-informed mental health counselor licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut working primarily with young adults of all genders, all sizes, abilities, races, and ethnicities, ages 18-45, specializing in eating disorders/disordered eating, body image concerns, anxiety, and depression. I adhere to the principles of Health At Every Size (HAES) and take an anti-diet approach in my work, meaning I help support those in all bodies to recognize non-adaptive behavioral patterns, develop tools for regulating emotions, and work towards body liberation and acceptance.
I trained at The Renfrew Center, one of the nation’s leading eating disorder treatment centers. I use a combination of theoretical orientations including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness practices. I have experience and training with those struggling with anxiety, depression, and interpersonal relationship issues.
I strongly believe that everyone can benefit from the therapeutic process. We all experience times when the inevitable changes in our lives are harder than we expected. My role is to help you navigate through emotional discomfort, live a value-oriented life, and offer a safe space for self-exploration and maybe even some risk-taking.
