I view you as the expert on your life and see my role as supporting you to get a better understanding of yourself, your needs, and your goals. Life is full of change and it can be hard to take care of yourself in the midst of transitions. I want to help you find balance so that you are better equipped to cope with the many changes and challenges life brings.
I like to customize therapy for each client and bring in different modalities based on your needs and counseling goals. Some modalities I'm trained in include: Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Sandtray Therapy, Narrative Therapy, & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I have a background in community mental health & am passionate about equitable access to counseling. I believe everyone can benefit from counseling at various points throughout their lives and aim to make counseling accessible. I also strive to honor the indigenous healing practices that counseling was built upon by decolonizing my therapeutic work.
