I believe strongly in self-determination, that we are the authorities in our own lives, and that we all have the ability to discover the solutions to our struggles and reach the best versions of ourselves given the proper support and resources. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the most important part of the healing process in therapy and I strive to create a non-judgmental, safe space that will foster those relationships even with differing life experiences, viewpoints, values, and beliefs.
As a therapist, I bring a lot of authenticity and take a person-centered, eclectic approach from relational-cultural theory with a focus on relationships, attachment, and family systems. We will work together to challenge unproductive thinking patterns and unhelpful outside influences to further you on your healing journey.
As a human, I am drawn to nature, spirituality, mindfulness, music, nuanced thought and children’s literature. I love being with my family and dogs out in nature or at home watching movies, playing games, and reading books. I love to write, speak, travel, study, listen to podcasts, and drink tea with friends while immersing ourselves in deep conversation.
