I primarily work with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folx, women, as well as people from other marginalized communities, with a focus on healing from complex PTSD from chronic childhood/developmental trauma. People who experience societal oppression and/or complex PTSD are at high risk for many mental health struggles, including a persistent sense of not belonging in the world, anxiety, depression, and self-medicating with substances. I support individuals in finding personal freedom through the cultivation of compassion, awareness, and understanding.
My relational, person-centered, trauma-informed approach is grounded in contemplative (mindfulness-based) practices and social justice principles, including harm reduction. I am trained in EMDR and offer this modality to those who are want to explore it, though I believe the paths to healing are many and not limited to one roadmap.
The work of healing and growing can be equal parts rewarding and challenging. While no one can do the inner work for us, we are not meant to do it alone. If you feel drawn to explore whether we might be a good fit, please reach out and I'd be glad to chat.
