Navigating life today can be challenging. I work with individuals, both adults and young people aged 14 and older, who are hoping to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences in order to feel their best, and enjoy their lives to the fullest. You may come to psychotherapy already knowing what your goals are, or you may be just struggling and confused, wondering if this work can benefit you. I believe psychotherapy can be an opportunity for changing unhealthy patterns of relating to ourselves and others, and to develop coping skills that are helpful and effective.
Because therapy isn't "one size fits all", I am eclectic in my approach to to treatment, drawing often from modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and strengths-based therapy. I especially enjoy the challenges of working with clients experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.
I have a collaborative and warm style, and my clients often tell me they like working with me because I am an active participant in our work together. I look forward to hearing more about your needs, and to answering any questions you may have about my practice and our potential work together.
