Although I am open and able to seeing all ages, my specialty includes work primarily with children and adolescents who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and transitional periods of life. In working with children and teens, I also include work with parents, guardians, and others in the family system, as needed. My goal as a therapist is to help all clients process and heal from those difficult and challenging parts of life and help you to reframe parts of your story through a new lens.
For children, I utilize a play-therapy approach, as I believe healing for children is found through their language of play. I also use Cognitive-Behavioral therapy in my practice, which helps to challenge & change thoughts & beliefs by strengthening emotional regulation & coping skills. I utilize a cooperative, attachment- & strengths based approach in work.
As your therapist, my goal is to create a safe space where you feel welcomed, supported, accepted, and encouraged no matter where you find yourself. Life is full of joyous moments, difficult hurdles, and expected and unexpected challenges. I believe we are created for community and it is my sincere privilege to walk alongside you in your journey!
