Each of us experiences illness and loss, and their associated grief, throughout our lives. Whether due to the death of a family member or friend, diagnosis of a serious illness, change in life or employment status, or challenging life transitions, loss occurs at many life stages and can take different forms. I work with individuals and couples to address these issues, using therapeutic approaches based on attachment, narrative, cognitive behavior, and emotionally focused theories.
My private practice work builds on my hospital and agency experience in Oncology Social Work and Palliative Care, which has focused on coping with chronic and/or serious illness, caregiver burnout, grief and loss, and related anxiety, depression, and identity issues.
