I believe strongly in meeting clients where they are at and taking a collaborative approach to meeting the treatment goals of therapy. I know for some, it can be anxiety provoking to seek therapy, and I strive to create an environment that is warm and focused on the issues that matter to the client.
I graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Sociology, and then went to Oxford University and got my Masters in Evidence Based Social Intervention. I then got my Masters in Clinical Psychology from SF State, and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in June of 2017.
My orientation is psychodynamic, but I also believe that one size does not fit all, that it is important to tailor therapy to the needs of the client. I believe in the power of empathy, and I also provide direct feedback to clients. I have significant experience dealing with trauma.
