In working with individuals for over 15 years in a variety of settings, I’ve seen the impact that relationships and communication with others can have on individual well-being. When internalized, our lived experiences can manifest as anxiety, depression, self doubt and low self-esteem. Repeated thoughts and behaviors can be exhausting especially once we realize they’re no longer working for us. The good news is change is possible! I focus on the relationship between mind and body through thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help clients achieve the peace of mind they're looking for.
Therapy isn't a quick fix but no one wants to wait forever to feel better either. I've found that blending psychoeducation, mindfulness, CBT, IFS, and an exploration and understanding of one’s attachment history work well together to help clients uncover WHY they feel the way they do and develop the skills to learn HOW to make change.
The client-therapist relationship is the most important element in helping clients reach their goals. My objective is to make my clients feel safe, comfortable, and validated to allow them the space to learn about themselves and discover the skills to live the life they desire.
