Whether you are dealing with long standing issues or reactions to recent stressors, a good therapy experience begins with a caring, respectful, accepting relationship. I listen closely and actively raise questions and share thoughts. Working collaboratively, we can develop a full picture of your difficulties and of the resources you have for dealing with them.
I have expertise in a variety of therapeutic models, including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, family systems and mindfulness. Using these perspectives, I can help you understand your long standing patterns of thinking, feeling and relating. Together we can build on your strengths and introduce new strategies for improving your life.
I have also taught and supervised other therapists in women's issues and healing from trauma. In addition, I have a particular interest in religious and/or spiritual experiences in people's lives.
