This space is for the question-askers, seekers, dreamers, wounded, weary, and outcasts. This is the right space for you if your religious identity, faith experiences, or family background have been stressful, confusing, or harmful to you. This includes but is not limited to experiences with trauma, narcissism, dysfunctional relationships and families, religious teachings about sex and sexuality, or sexism. My clients include people who are still part of a faith community, as well as those who deconstructing, are not sure where they stand, have left their faith tradition, and those who are now atheists. Everyone is welcome here.
As I grew up, a lot of things that my family and churches told me didn't make sense to me and hurt me. I have spent decades studying psychology, psychotherapy, family dynamics, healing, and trauma, to try to better understand why things are the way they are, how they can be different, and how we can heal from our religious and family histories.
An essential part of the human experience is making sense of our world, our hopes, our longings, our family, our identities, and our community. In many families and religious communities, there is not the freedom, support, or space needed to do this in healthy ways. I provide support, care, and resources for sense-making, healing, and hope.

Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving. It doesn't matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Come, yet again. Come, come. -13th-century poet, Rumi

My focus is on creating a supportive place to explore religious and family history with the goal of healing, insight, and clarity. Specifically, I am trained as a psychodynamically oriented psychotherapist, which means I focus on creating a healthy, trusting relationship with my clients, exploring what's going on beneath the surface, and learning how to connect with, and love, our truest selves.
