Feeling like you are alone in a sea of people, or amongst folx you wish you were deeper connected with can be incredibly lonely. Shame, guilt, isolation, and not quite understanding exactly what kinds of emotions are coming up can leave us searching for intimacy and connection, only to be left alone once more. Even when surrounded by “success” we can feel isolated in our own fantasies and identities. I find as a counselor I work well with women and LGBTQIA+ folx who have endured throughout their lives and are searching for a voice. Someone to truly listen, hear, and empower.
My approach to therapy is primarily psychodynamic with incorporation of other styles such as gestalt, feminist, emotion-focused, and somatic understanding. I come from a place of sex positivity, kink positivity, poly/ENM/CNM positivity, and LGBTQIA+ identities, offering a safe, sacred, therapeutic space for all of those who have ever felt silenced.
Together, we will work to identify common thoughts, patterns, emotions, and experiences throughout your life. We will enhance emotional connection and understanding, and strengthen your experiences of who you are and how you fit within your own environments.
