Healing and caring for ourselves is hard work. Sometimes painful, often fulfilling, occasionally tedious, it is a necessary part of being open to the experiences that life has to offer us. Therapy is one way to find support in healing from trauma, managing our health, and discovering and practicing new ways of caring for ourselves. As Audre Lorde wrote, "Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare." This work is important, both individually and collectively, and I am here to help you with it.
I offer holistic individual, family, couples/relationship, and group therapy. With all clients, I practice from a client-centered, trauma informed, and social justice perspective. I also write letters to support medical transition and offer assistance with other paperwork to support social and legal transition.
My previous professional experience includes working with LGBT+ clients at Seattle Counseling Service and adolescents and their families at Seattle Children's Hospital. I have trained in the Gottman Method of couple's counseling as well as Lifespan Integration Level 1.
