As a sex-positive queer therapist, I support women and the LGBTQ+ community struggling with the effects of past trauma and toxic stress showing up in the present. Childhood trauma, family conflict or estrangement, and high-control religious groups often affect our sense of identity and relationships, impacting how safe, connected, and supported we feel. This can influence physical, mental, and sexual health, leading to struggles with anxiety, depression, chronic illness, low self-worth, trust issues, and shame. While trauma begins in relationships, healing can happen there too, through supportive and caring connections.
In our work together, we explore how past trauma influences present relationships, including with yourself. We'll also examine relational patterns that are no longer serving you. In the therapeutic relationship, we work on relational practices that reduce shame, increase self-trust, improve self-worth, and lead to more fulfilling relationships.
If this resonates with you, let’s talk. You don’t have to navigate this alone. As a therapist with over 20 years of experience, I am passionate about helping people create meaningful, lasting change. In addition to my clinical work, I am also a faculty member, training and supervising other therapists. I also have advanced training in sex and trauma therapy.
