As a therapist, I believe you are the expert in your life, and my goal is always to facilitate you in building a future on your own terms. I enjoy working with individuals around issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem, executive functioning and life transitions. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and enjoy working with transgender folks at all points in your gender confirming process. Some of my other specialties include working with people with diverse relationship structures and sexual practices and with sex workers. I enjoy working with adults with ADHD and autism, especially those who are newly diagnosed.
My individual therapy approach stems from Attachment Theory, and I utilize techniques of psychodynamic therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also practice EMDR and the Flash Technique for trauma.
My approach is warm, straight forward, collaborative, and humorous. Please contact me for an initial consultation to see if you think that my style would be a good fit for your needs. I look forward to hearing from you.
