I have worked with a great array of clients throughout my career. I work with anyone who is suffering. Suffering can show up in all sorts of ways: Depression, Anxiety, Addiction, Relational Issues, and Family Conflict, to name a few. I believe people are always trying to do their very best to feel better, even if those attempts are causing suffering. We all want to feel content and find a life of purpose.
My focus today is working with trauma, shame, and the negative self narratives that fuel our unskillful behaviors. I use DBT to help manage problematic behaviors and cognitive distortions and engage somatic practices to shift the relationship that we have to our emotions, bodies, and sense of self.
It takes great courage to reach out for support. At one point or another, all of us must learn to ask for help and practice vulnerability in order to heal. I applaud you for taking this first step . I look forward to connecting with you.
